About me

Prof. Dr. habil. Woldag has been Professor of Neurorehabilitation at the SRH University of Health Gera Campus since August 2012.

Prof. Dr. habil. Hartwig Woldag studied human medicine at the University of Leipzig. He completed his training as a specialist in neurology at the Clinic and Polyclinic for Neurology at Leipzig University Hospital. This training was supplemented by a DFG position at the Neurological University Hospital in Bonn. Here he also acquired extensive experience in electrophysiological examination procedures.

In 1992, he received his doctorate in Leipzig with an animal neurophysiological topic.

He became a specialist in neurology in 1996. In 1998, he initially moved to the Neurological Rehabilitation Center (NRZ) Leipzig as a senior physician, where he acquired additional qualifications in social medicine, rehabilitation medicine and geriatrics. In parallel, he conducted research in the field of therapeutic interventions for stroke patients, which resulted in a successful habilitation in 2008.

In 2017, he moved to the Federal Employment Agency as a senior physician.
