About me

Prof. Dr. Peter Rupp MHA has been a lecturer at SRH University in the Bachelor's and Master's degree course Physician Assistant since the summer semester 2023. After studying at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, he completed his further training in internal medicine and intensive care medicine. He obtained additional qualifications in intensive care medicine, emergency medicine and clinical acute and emergency medicine. After completing his specialist training in internal medicine, he worked in intensive care medicine as well as clinical and preclinical emergency medicine. He studied management at the University of Bern and graduated with a Master of Health Administration. He has been head physician of emergency departments in Germany and Switzerland for over 20 years. He currently works as Chief Physician of the Central Emergency Department at Starnberg Hospital. Dr. Rupp has published on emergency medicine topics and is the editor and author of various specialist books and book chapters. His medical focus is on the diagnosis and treatment of cardiological emergencies, acute arrhythmias and patients with complex internal diseases. Management focuses on the continuous improvement and reorganization of emergency departments. Particular emphasis is placed on establishing the specialty of clinical emergency medicine and its teaching at clinical and academic level.
