Prof. Dr. Haridass Pälmke

Prof. Dr. Haridass Pälmke obtained a technical degree from the Staatliche Techniker Hochschule in Berlin as part of his technical studies in mechanical engineering and electronics. He then worked for Allgemeine Elektrizität Gesellschaft - AEG and Otis Elevators und Escalators GmbH in various specialist and management positions in supply chain, production, materials management and purchasing.

In 1990, Prof. Dr. Pälmke obtained the OTIS Master of Manufacturing and Purchasing at Otis University in Paris and was subsequently employed as overall manager for materials management, purchasing and spare parts production at Otis GmbH in Berlin until 1993.

From 1995 to 1998, Prof. Dr. Pälmke was Managing Director of PIMEX- Export und Import GmbH, as well as a management consultant for export-oriented Indian companies.

His professional career includes a further five years as the main process manager for the functional areas of Order Fulfillment, Materials Management, Logistics and Service Operations at Haworth Bürositzmöbel GmbH in Ahlen in Westphalia.

In 2002, Prof. Dr. Pälmke obtained a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern Queensland and subsequently a Doctor of Business Administration from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia.

Prof. Dr. Pälmke has been working as a research and teaching assistant at the SRH University of Applied Sciences for Logistics and Business in Hamm since 2009. Prof. Dr. Pälmke's research focuses on compact cross-docking centers and his teaching focuses on logistics and intercultural business and management in Bachelor's and Master's degree courses.
