About me

In April 2016, Prof. Dr. habil. Claudia Luck-Sikorski took on the role of Head of the Master's degree program in Mental Health and Psychotherapy at the SRH University of Applied Sciences for Health on the Gera campus. In 2018, she also took on the role of Head of Research and in 2019 the role of Vice President. She has been President of the SRH University of Applied Sciences for Health since June 1, 2021.

Prof. Dr. habil. Claudia Luck-Sikorski successfully completed her psychology degree in Leipzig in 2010. She then worked as a research assistant at the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy and at the Institute for Social Medicine in Leipzig.

She received her doctorate from the Faculty of Medicine at Leipzig University in 2013, followed by a research stay at Columbia University in New York City. She completed her habilitation in the field of social medicine and public health at the University of Leipzig in 2016. She is a licensed psychological psychotherapist with a specialization in behavioral therapy.

In the COPE (Chronic Diseases and Mental Health) research group, she and her team investigate psychological aspects of chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes mellitus and chronic visible skin diseases.
