About me

Prof. Dr. med. Kai Kolpatzik, MPH, EMPH, is a physician and health scientist and worked as a resident in
in surgery in hospitals in Freiburg and at Lake Constance.

He worked in the field of health sciences at the University of Bielefeld (Master of Public Health and European Master of Public Health) and at the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva before joining the AOKBundesverband in 2004.
in 2004.

Since 2009, he has headed the Prevention Department at the AOK-Bundesverband. His work focuses on prevention and health promotion, health literacy, nutrition literacy, health communication, environment and health, digital health, and public health policy.
