Prof. Dr. Thomas Fleischmann

Prof. Dr. Thomas Fleischmann has been a lecturer at the SRH University of Health in the bachelor's degree program Physician Assistant since the summer semester 2021.

Since further training in trauma surgery and internal medicine, he has worked in emergency medicine and has been chief physician of emergency departments in Germany and Switzerland for 16 years, now as chief physician of the Center for Emergency and Acute Medicine at imland Kliniken Rendsburg and Eckernförde. He is the editor of several books on the medicine and management of interdisciplinary emergency rooms and is involved in the reorganization of emergency care at various levels.

Medical focal points are the clarification of cardiological emergencies, especially syncope. Management focuses are the development of modern concepts of clinical emergency care. Special emphasis is placed on establishing the field of clinical emergency medicine and its teaching at the clinical and academic levels.
