About me

From April 2009, Prof. Dr. Tobias Erhardt was head of the part-time study programs Physiotherapy and Medical Education at the SRH Hochschule für Gesundheit at the Gera campus, Heidelberg branch. Since 2012, he has been head of the training-integrated physiotherapy degree program at the SRH Universities of Applied Sciences in Karlsruhe, Stuttgart and Leverkusen.

After training as a masseur in 1989 and as a physiotherapist in 1993, he studied sports science, psychology and political science at the University of Koblenz-Landau, Landau department, from 1998-2002 in addition to his clinical work. He graduated there as Magister Artium (M.A.) with the grade "very good".

In 2005, Prof. Dr. Tobias Erhardt completed his second university course of studies to become a teacher for elementary and secondary schools in the subjects of sports and politics. From 2003-2006, he earned his doctorate at the University of Koblenz-Landau, Landau Department (overall grade: "summa cum laude").

Research Interests:

  • Effectiveness of tertiary preventive measures for chronic low back pain.
  • Effectiveness of physiotherapeutic methods for low back pain 
  • Teaching-learning processes in physiotherapy
  • Health promotion in schools

Current research projects:

  • "Mobilization management of geriatric patients".
  • "Effectiveness and sustainability of medical exercise therapy (ENT)"
  • SRH health walking study 2019
