Research Foci

Prof. Dr. Büsch is doing research in the field of demography and human resource
management. She is analysing the consequences of demographic change for enterprises. Her research focus lies on age discrimination in the hiring process, employee motivation and the identification of promotive factors for an extended working life. For the last 20 years she has been doing research in this field with numerous publications and speeches at national and international conferences (e.g. World Demographic Association in St. Gallen/Schweiz and International Conference on Demographic Aging in Los Angeles/U.S.A).

  • 2016: Expert hearing for the European research project Mopact (Mobilising the potential of active ageing in Europe, Berlin
  • 2015: BMBF reviewer for the transnational call "Extended Working Life", Berlin
  • 2013: Expert hearing on the Third Demography Report of the Brandenburg, Potsdam
  • 2013: Peer review procedure on request of the BMAS for the Centre for Senior Policy, Oslo
  • 2013: Expert in the context of the BMAS funding priority "Enterprises of the Future", Bonn
  • 2012: Expert for ESF Age Network for the validation of instruments and products regarding Age Management Tools in Europe, Brussels
  • 2012: Best Paper Award" of the 15th International QMOD Conference on Quality and Service Sciences
  • 2000 and 2003: Ruhrgas scholarship for research visits in Bergen, Norway
