Hybrid energy from waste as a sustainable solution for Ghana Waste2Energy

Brief description

One of the most urgent challenges in Ghana is waste management. More than 12,000 tonnes of municipal waste are generated every day, of which only 10% is disposed of. The rest ends up on the streets and causes health problems. The project aims to utilise solid waste in Ghana to generate energy. A new 400 kW hybrid PV, biogas and pyrolysis plant is being planned as a pilot plant, which will be customised on the basis of physical and chemical properties.
