As part of the "Energy and Sustainability" module, students on the International Business and Engineering programme (M.Eng.) delve into the analysis and development of alternative energy concept for ERGIN Machinery & Automation by investigating several renewable energy technologies having limited environmental impact. The students received real energy consumption data for electricity as well as space heating. They investigated various sustainable energy supply alternatives which are technically doable, economically feasible and environmentally viable, and developed energy roadmap for ERGIN Machinery & Automation in Bursa, Türkiye. Where the electricity and natural gas prices are much lower than Germany, which makes it difficult to switch to alternative energy sources. The students managed this challenge and presented their conceptual suggestions to the company representative in groups of three.
