[Translate to English:]

What is the project about?

The increase in natural gas prices is motivating more and more companies to think about alternative energy technologies. This is also the case for the SRH Berufsbildungswerk Neckargemünd. The company is working to reduce energy consumption, emissions, waste water and solid waste.

As part of the "Energy and Sustainability" module, students from the International Business and Engineering (M.Eng.) programme were given the task of designing energy concepts for the SRH Berufsbildungswerk Neckargemünd that would improve cost efficiency on the one hand and reduce environmental impact on the other. Students from the other courses Water Technology and Climate Change Management and Engineering are also involved in the project. The students are provided with  real energy consumption data from the company and are asked to examine various energy supply alternatives from a technical, economic, environmental and social acceptance point of view and to develop energy roadmaps for the campus Neckargemünd.
