Personalised. Close to everyday life. Scientifically sound.

Would you like to master your everyday life independently again and regain your quality of life? Our physiotherapists will be happy to support you.

Our outpatient clinic

The Physiotherapy Outpatient Clinic on Campus is a modern physiotherapy practice on the SRH campus.

Our focus is on the treatment of people with neurological disorders, e.g. people who have suffered a stroke, Parkinson's disease, paraplegic symptoms or multiple sclerosis.

We also treat people with orthopaedic/surgical restrictions (e.g. people with back pain, after hip/knee replacements, shoulder complaints, etc.) and people with diseases of the organ system (e.g. people with peripheral arterial occlusive disease, pelvic floor symptoms, etc.).

Your treatment

Our team offers you functional and everyday therapy that is specially tailored to your needs. By setting individual goals, we create a personalised therapy plan for you and implement it together with you.

Our physiotherapy treatment is based on current guidelines and the latest scientific findings. We attach great importance to dovetailing theory and practice. Through close cooperation with the School of Health, Education and Social Sciences and as a teaching institution for physiotherapy students, we constantly strive to optimise our therapy.

Special therapy programmes

Functional gait training on the treadmill has become a central component of neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation. You can train walking or "walking again" on the treadmill with us. The body weight support system of our treadmill ensures a safe and intensive start to therapy, even from a wheelchair.

LSVT-BIG is aimed at people with Parkinson's disease. Here you will practise targeted movements with large amplitudes in order to improve speed and range of movement. As a partner of the Parkinson's Network Rhine-Neckar this special therapy is carried out by certified therapists and takes place at high frequency as part of individual therapies.

This form of therapy is aimed at people who suffer from functional disorders or diseases of the vestibular system. The therapy can be effective for various dizziness disorders and can reduce the risk of falls in those affected. The treatment requires a confirmed medical diagnosis and is carried out by our therapists with additional vestibular training.

In cooperation with the coagulation outpatient clinic at the SRH Kurpfalzkrankenhaus, we offer haemophilia sufferers a physiotherapy consultation. Through targeted standardised examinations of their joints, we carefully record their current joint condition and can detect joint bleeding at an early stage. During treatment, we cater to their individual needs. This enables us to alleviate acute pain, improve joint function and promote balance and coordination so that you can protect your joints in everyday life in the long term.

We support women and men in improving the health of their pelvic floor and alleviating symptoms such as incontinence or urge bladder. Our specialised therapists work with you to understand your individual needs and develop tailored treatment plans.

FAME

FAME stands for "Fitness and Mobility Exercise Programme" and is a well-researched task-oriented circuit training programme in a small group for people with neurological conditions such as stroke. The FAME programme helps you to improve your balance, muscle strength and endurance. To participate, you should be able to walk 10 metres independently (even with aids).

How can the FAME programme be prescribed? Talk to your doctor and ask for a prescription for the "KG group as double treatment" remedy with 20 treatment units.
