Open Ear

Self-doubt? Excessive demands? Stress? All these problems are familiar to the Master's students on the "Social Work: Psychosocial Counselling and Health Promotion" are no strangers to them. They are familiar with these problems from their own experience and know how to deal with them from their studies. They will give you comprehensive advice in the Open Ear student project and have lots of valuable tips in store.

Coaching

Exam nerves, learning difficulties or low motivation? Personalised coaching will help you overcome these hurdles. It also supports you in clarifying your goals, e.g. during the transition to an internship or professional life, or if you want to optimise your performance. Or would thesis coaching be helpful for you to overcome writer's block? All coaching sessions are of course also available online and in English. All students can receive support in up to three individual sessions - SRH University will cover the costs.

Music therapy & dance and movement therapy at the Heidelberg campus

Learn to use artistic therapies for yourself: Non-verbal media such as music, dance and movement are used in creative therapy to perceive, feel and give expression to emotions where words sometimes fall short. In the process, you can further develop your communication skills, resources and interpersonal competences, which will also benefit you in the future world of work.

Creative therapy programme for SRH students

Our SRH Teaching Clinic for Music Therapy and Dance and Movement Therapy offers counselling in the following areas:

  • Balance between studies and everyday life
  • Mindfulness & relaxation
  • Discovering and promoting resources
  • Self-competence
  • Recognising and regulating your own needs
  • Allowing creativity to unfold
  • Finding your own rhythm

No creative, musical or dance prerequisites are necessary.

Costs:

  • Free trial lesson
  • SRH students: €10 per 45-minute session for four sessions (the remaining costs are covered pro rata by the SRH)
  • Self-payers: €60 per 45-minute session
