It's no secret that both physical and mental health are crucial to your professional and personal success. That's why we not only teach health, we also live it. Numerous offers are available to you during your studies - from active lunch breaks and health days to expert talks, keynote speeches and interdisciplinary taster lectures. We support your study-work-life balance so that at the end of our journey together you will be a healthy success - because that is what we are passionate about.
Health portal
Health is our greatest asset - and unfortunately it cannot be taken for granted. Our university's health portal is designed to inspire and support you in your personal endeavours to stay healthy or even get healthy. Our health experts, i.e. your professors, will give you first-hand tips and support your healthy study time at SRH University Gera.
Click through our health portal. After all, health needs clever minds. Be one of them.
Health impulses
Inspired by the pandemic in 2020, it was important to us to give people something positive and to see this special situation as an opportunity, because we always look positively and passionately to the future. Since then, new university contributions have been created that go far beyond the original idea and can help you in different life situations. From everyday structures and healthy eating to education and digitalisation, we have spoken to our experts.
You can find all podcasts in our YouTube playlist. Have fun!
Health Day
The SRH University Health Day takes place once a year under the auspices of our Master's degree programme in Work and Organisational Psychology.
We cordially invite you and our employees to attend. As part of the Health Day, you can learn and experience interesting things during various workshops, keynote speeches or sporting highlights and acquire important skills at the same time. In recent years, we have covered a wide range of topics so that you too will find something that will support you with regard to a healthy lifestyle and help you make lasting progress.
Healthy lunch break
Every Tuesday from 12.15 to 12.45, our employees have the opportunity to take part in various courses such as yoga, HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), autogenic training and self-massage. These are initiated and organised by the Health Working Group. Here, too, the range of topics is broad and our employees can benefit extensively from the expert knowledge of our professors.
Psychosocial counselling for students
We are funding psychosocial counselling sessions for students on a pilot basis. You will be supported in dealing with and overcoming possible problems - in everyday student life or in your private life - by being referred to or recommended further support services. You will receive free counselling from Martin Heisig, who set up his own private mental health practice in Gera after studying psychology at SRH University.
