Portfolio and admission interview

The portfolio with 15 to 20 own creative works aims to show your design approach, process and results. The portfolio and your CV should provide an insight into your individual design and technical development. We deliberately avoid providing a specific theme. Please attach a written description explaining your work and methodology. Any questions about what to put in the portfolio? Please arrange an individual portfolio consultation with our study advisors.

In the admission interview, we want to find out what goals you are pursuing with your degree. We will also ask programme-specific questions to learn more about your theoretical knowledge and practical skills. If you cannot visit us in Berlin, we are happy to offer an online appointment.

English language requirements

 Accepted English Proficiency Certificates (valid within 2 years), with at least the indicated score:

• IELTS Academic: 6.5
• TOEFL iBT: 87 points
• TOEIC Listening/Reading 785, Speaking 160, Writing 150
• Duolingo Certificate: 110 points
• Cambridge CAE or CPE (grade A, B, or C)
• Pearson English Test Academic (PTE-A): 59 points
• Linguaskill: 176 - 184 (CES) - all four skills required

If the GPA, subject or language requirements are not fully met for direct entry into the programme, we offer a 1-semester PreMaster programme  at the SRH International College. No separate application is required, and our admissions team will determine if this course is necessary for programme entry.
