Access requirements in detail

English requirements

proof of **sufficient English proficiency**

we do accept one of the following tests - not older than 2 years - with at least the indicated score:

  • IELTS (academic) or Indicator 6.5
  • TOEFL 87 ibt / Special Home Edition 87 ibt
  • TOEIC Listening/Reading 785, Speaking 160, Writing 150
  • Duolingo Certificate 110 points (48h results, all online)
  • CAE or CPE (grade A, B, or C)
  • Pearson English Test Academic (PTE-A): 59 points
  • Linguaskill: 176 - 184 (CES) - all four skills required

We do not have any application deadlines. This is what your application process looks like:

  • If you are interested in the Master's degree programme in Media Communication and Media Production, you can send us your application easily and convenientlyonlineonline.
  • If you have any technical difficulties with the online application or if you have any questions about your application, your contact person will be happy to help you.
  • If you fulfil the admission requirements, we will invite you to a selection process.
  • If you are successful in the selection process, you will receive an acceptance letter and a study contract from us.
  • You sign the study contract and send it back to us.
  • You pay the enrolment fee.
  • If you come from a non-EU country, you will pay your tuition fee one semester in advance in addition to the registration fee. From the second semester onwards, payments for the remaining semesters are due six weeks before the end of the study period you have already paid for.
  • We will send you your letter of admission.
  • You take part in our Startklar days - and off you go with your studies!
