Where global hits are created - and careers take off: SRH opens Munich campus

Students at SRH University receive practical training in popular music, music production and audio design in co-operation with the Dorian Gray music production studio.

Munich, 11.03.2025 - The music professionals of tomorrow are now learning in the Dorian Gray Studios, where global hits have already been produced: SRH Campus Munich will open state-of-the-art recording studios in the winter semester 2025/26, providing students with practice-oriented training at the highest level. In these renowned facilities, budding musicians, producers and sound designers will be perfectly prepared for the challenges of the music industry.

Innovative learning according to the certified CORE principle

A central element of the programme is SRH University's innovative CORE principle (Competence Oriented Research and Education). Instead of traditional lectures, the model focuses on practical, skills-orientated learning in small groups - with clearly structured 5-week blocks and directly applicable knowledge. ‘With our new campus in Munich, we are creating a place that combines innovation, practical orientation and interdisciplinary exchange,’ says Campus Manager Christine Kainrath. ‘I'm looking forward to setting up the site and working with our team to support young talents on their path to a successful future.’

State-of-the-art technology for professional productions

The recording studios offer first-class equipment and a professional working environment that enable students to apply their theoretical knowledge directly in practice. With state-of-the-art technology, including the highest quality mixing consoles and audio software, students can realise their music productions with the same equipment used by major artists and in the international music industry. This includes high-precision loudspeaker systems for the best sound as well as hardware and software with which music productions can be professionally recorded, edited and mixed.
The renowned acoustics planner Jochen Veith (jv-acoustics) provided excellent room acoustics during the planning phase, ensuring an optimal recording and production environment. This allows students to work under realistic production conditions and realise their creative projects professionally.

The renowned Dorian Gray music production studio offers students optimal learning opportunities directly on campus.

Diverse degree programmes for everyone - from music studies to business and social work

In addition to training in popular music, music production and audio design, the SRH Campus Munich also offers a variety of other degree programmes. From the coming winter semester, students will be able to study media and communication management, business administration (including exciting industry specialisms such as automotive or hotel), computer science and social work. The campus will thus become a centre for interdisciplinary education, opening up a broad spectrum of subject areas to students.
