SRH University opens new campus in Bremen

With modern facilities and close links to the logistics industry, the location offers optimal study conditions for future specialists and managers.

Bremen, 26 March 2025 - SRH University continues to grow and opens a new campus in Bremen's Überseestadt district. With modern facilities and close links to the logistics industry, the location offers optimal study conditions for prospective specialists and managers. The official opening took place on 25 March 2025.

Strengthening Bremen as a centre of education

The German Foreign Trade and Transport Academy (DAV), an institution of SRH University, is moving its campus to Überseestadt - one of the largest urban development projects in Europe. The new location brings DAV closer to its core industry: logistics. The campus is located in the same building as the BS GAV vocational school, which looks after 1,800 trainees every year - many of them potential DAV students.

Modern infrastructure and practical study programmes

The new Bremen campus offers modern lecture rooms, a student lounge and energy-efficient building technology. Thanks to the close cooperation with logistics companies, students benefit from practical content, cooperation projects and career opportunities directly on site.

The range of courses includes the Bachelor's degree programme in Business Administration with a focus on International Logistics Management or Digital Supply Chain Management. In addition, further training is offered to become an IHK (Chamber of Industry and Commerce) specialist in freight transport & logistics - a programme that has been established since 1978. From 2025, the new Bachelor's degree programme in Business Administration with a specialisation in Risk Management & Insurance will complement the portfolio with an innovative career-integrated blended learning format. Further degree programmes at Bachelor's and Master's level are being planned.

Opening ceremony on 25 March 2025

The official opening on 25 March was attended by representatives from business, politics and education, including logistics companies, authorities, alumni and lecturers. The event provided an opportunity to view the new campus and discuss future development opportunities.

"With our new location in Bremen, we are making an important contribution to training the skilled workers of tomorrow. Our practice-oriented concept combines academic education with a direct connection to the company - a decisive advantage for students and the industry alike," says Dr Thorsten Bagschik, Managing Director of SRH University.

With the expansion to Bremen, SRH University is strengthening its presence in northern Germany and setting new standards for practical, industry-specific higher education.
