Prof. Dr. Mehrdad Jalali joins SRH University Heidelberg as a new professor of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, bringing over two decades of expertise.
Prof. Dr. Mehrdad Jalali has joined SRH University Heidelberg as a Data Science and Artificial Intelligence professor. He will primarily teach in the Applied Data Science and Analytics program.
Bringing over two decades of experience in academia and research, Prof. Jalali specializes in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Materials Data Science, and Cheminformatics. His extensive expertise will greatly enrich the academic environment at SRH University.
Before this appointment, for five years, Prof. Jalali worked as a Senior Scientist at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Karlsruhe, Germany. During his tenure, he made significant advancements in AI-driven solutions and their applications in materials science and cheminformatics, creating a meaningful connection between artificial intelligence and scientific discovery. His earlier career includes 17 years as an Associate Professor in Iran, where he played a crucial role in guiding young computational scientists and contributing to academic research.
