ProfTalk: Building a Career in Music Therapy & dance movement therapy

Tue 06.05.25

How can you achieve a healthy, compassionate relationship with yourself? Why is this particularly important for professionals in therapy?

Calendar entry

In this interactive online event, Prof. Dr. Stefanie Neubrand – Professor of Psychology at SRH University and founder of impathy research – presents her concept of impathy (introversive empathy). She will place a special focus on its relevance for the field of music therapy or dance and movement therapy.

Learn how impathy can act as a protective resilience factor against burnout in therapists working with creative and expressive methods, and experience firsthand how a simple impathy-based intervention such as humming can enhance subjective well-being.

We warmly invite prospective students of Music Therapy and Dance and movement therapy and anyone interested in studying at SRH University – including a shared humming experience.

Are you interested in a career as a music therapist and want to find out what it's like to work in this field? Then this session is just right for you! Let us tell you about the practice and bring your questions to find out more.
