The Heidelberg AI Meetup is a recurring academic and professional gathering designed to foster dialogue and collaboration within the AI community in Heidelberg and beyond. The event takes place at one of Germany's leading research centres and brings together academics, researchers, industry experts and alumni working at the forefront of AI.
Each session features a select programme of talks from invited speakers from academia, industry and the alumni network, covering recent advances in machine learning, data science, ethics in AI and domain-specific applications from healthcare to logistics. The talks will be followed by open discussions and networking to encourage interdisciplinary exchange and long-term collaboration.
A particular focus of this edition is to reconnect with AI-focussed alumni from Heidelberg's academic institutions. By linking current research with alumni experience in the field, we aim to build a stronger, cross-generational AI network based on both academic excellence and practical impact.
