Admission requirements in detail

General entry requirements

We accept:

  • General higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) or university of applied sciences entrance qualification (Fachhochschulreife)

OR

  • International students: upper secondary school leaving certificate granting university access in home country or country of obtention

Direct Entry via Conditional Enrolment: This option allows students with a qualifying secondary school leaving certificate to start their bachelor's programme at SRH University directly after high school and prove their ability to study.

Besides having general higher education entrance qualification and/or access to university in your home country, you will need to comply with the GPA and specific subject requirements of your Bachelor’s programme to be accepted.

Find out if you are eligible:
Submit your application directly through our online platform to see if you qualify for our Bachelor’s programmes. Our admissions experts will review your documents and inform you of your eligibility, or if further education is required.

If you have not graduated yet, apply with existing transcripts or latest interim certificate for conditional acceptance. The final degree certificate and transcripts will be required to commence your studies.

Details about the dual programme

Please note that you will need to have found a partner company before starting your studies - we are happy to assist you in finding one. If you are unable to find a partner company before the 1st semester, you can also always start in the full-time programme and switch to the dual programme later.

After applying and being admitted to the university, you can change to the dual programme at the beginning of each semester or, depending on your level of prior knowledge, you can already commence your studies in the dual programme.

The partner companies select suitable candidates independently of the university and sign an employment contract (usually with 18.5 hours per week) with them. You can also suggest new partner companies for this purpose.

We advise the partner companies to provide financial support for the students working for them. This means that either the tuition fees are paid by the company or that you receive a training salary.

English language requirements

Accepted English Proficiency Certificates (valid within 2 years), with at least the indicated score:

  • IELTS Academic: 6.5
  • TOEFL iBT: 87 points
  • TOEIC Listening/Reading 785, Speaking 160, Writing 150
  • Duolingo Certificate: 110 points
  • Cambridge CAE or CPE (grade A, B, or C)
  • Pearson English Test Academic (PTE-A): 59 points
  • Linguaskill: 176 - 184 (CES) - all four skills required

If the GPA, subject or language requirements are not met for a direct entry into the programme, we offer a Foundation Year at the SRH International College. No separate application is required, and our admissions team will determine if this course is necessary for programme entry.
