University admission for vocationally qualified persons
From 1 January 2025, new regulations for professionally qualified persons will apply in accordance with the Baden-Württemberg State Higher Education Act (LHG) until an amended admission and enrolment regulation comes into force. Professionally qualified persons are those who:
- Have completed a recognised advanced vocational training course (e.g. master craftsman, business administrator). After a counselling interview, they receive direct university admission in accordance with § 58 Para. 2 No. 5 LHG.
- Have completed at least two years of relevant vocational training and have at least three years of professional experience. You will receive a subject-specific admission authorisation after passing an aptitude test in accordance with § 58 Para. 2 No. 6 LHG.
The aptitude test remains valid in accordance with the previous regulations until the new legal ordinance on the university-specific entrance examination (Section 58 Para. 3a) and the trial study programme (Section 58 Para. 3b).
