Your perspectives in virtual & mixed reality
As a developer for virtual, augmented and mixed reality, numerous doors are open to you. Almost all industries are now looking for specialised developers who can create interactive graphic applications or simulations with and without engines. Whether in aerospace, the games industry, the automotive industry, architecture, entertainment or medicine - they are all increasingly using virtual, augmented and mixed reality as new visualisation and interactive media.
If you don't want to go straight into a job, your state-recognised Bachelor's degree will give you access to numerous Master's degree programmes in Germany and abroad, for example in Creative Technologies, Interaction Design, Digital Reality, Computer Graphics or Computer Science and Media in general.

Technically & creatively to success!
Since 2010, we have been offering the modern, practice-oriented bachelor's degree programme "Virtual Reality & Game Development", which focuses on the development and design of virtual worlds.

State-of-the-art technologies at the cutting edge
In your degree programme in Applied Computer Science, you can expect exciting content that will prepare you for the development of modern technologies. You will start with scientific work and the basics of computer science, followed by practical project work. As you progress, you will deepen your knowledge of programming, software engineering and mixed reality applications. The programme includes an internship, topics such as artificial intelligence and edutainment, before you work on your final project and Bachelor's thesis in the final semesters.

From study straight into practice
In addition to technical and methodological skills, social and personal skills are crucial today. SRH University 's innovative, successful and award-winning CORE principle promotes independent and active learning so that you can apply your knowledge directly in practice - for a clear competitive advantage.

News from the VR & Game Development degree programme
In 2007, SRH University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg was one of the first universities in Germany to offer a "Game Development" degree programme. This was followed in 2010 by "Virtual Reality", the first degree programme in Germany to deal explicitly with virtual reality as a mass and entertainment medium. These years of experience, combined with the innovative CORE study model, form the foundation for the solid and practice-oriented education of our students.
Yves Masullo and Robin Mächtel show just how successful our graduates can be with their game "Orbital Bullet", which won the most important prize for games in Germany - the German Computer Game Award, in the "Prototype" category for young talent (endowed with € 15,000). Shortly afterwards, the game received another award at the GermanDevDays (endowed with €5,000).
